Employee Relations Advice

Getting the right advice before you make important employment decisions can be crucial to sustaining those decisions against a challenge. At NMP, we help our clients avoid litigation, where beneficial, through counseling and investigation as well as alternative dispute resolution strategies such as arbitration and mediation – these approaches are generally less expensive and time consuming than litigation and therefore a better value for clients.

Because each of our four partners has more than twenty-five years of experience, you always have access to a seasoned labor and employment attorney to help guide you through the minefield of statutes, regulations and court cases bearing upon the employer-employee relationship in the municipal setting and in the private sector.

Advice can come in many forms and can be tailored to meet the client’s needs. Sometimes a telephone call informed by a review of the pertinent information is enough to give you the answers you need. On the other hand, a face to face meeting and a review of documents may better meet your work style, or the complexity of the matter or matters. Timely advice can also be given through an exchange of emails or text messages. More formal advice may require a written opinion letter. However the advice is delivered, expert labor, employment and education advice is always close at hand.
